What the permit charge includes
Each permit charge covers a single site or registration, including the application, opening and closing notices, registration and up to two variations. One round of resubmission for routine authority queries is included under the engagement terms. Major works are quoted against scope.
Additional permits on the same street
The first permit is charged at the full applicable rate. Further permits on the same street or USRN for the same works or programme are charged at 70% of the applicable permit charge where the shared arrangements apply. Works at separate locations are charged per permit at the full rate.

All charges above exclude VAT. Statutory and third-party fees are additional. Services are subject to agreed scope and engagement terms. A deposit may be required for new clients.
What is separate
All Bauer charges exclude VAT. Statutory, Local Authority and lane-rental fees are additional and paid by the client directly to the relevant authority or third party. Bauer does not pay or advance statutory fees. Third-party data costs and agreed additional services are charged separately.
Authority charges vary with location, works type, duration and other requirements. Send us the location and scope so the applicable charges can be checked. POA means price on application.

- Are council fees included?
- No. Our fees cover Bauer’s service. Statutory and Local Authority fees are separate and paid directly by you to the relevant authority.
- Can you support just one job?
- Yes. We can support individual applications as well as larger programmes. Tell us what you need and we’ll confirm the scope and charge.
- What if the works change?
- Let us know promptly. We’ll confirm any variation, extension or change-of-band charge and any additional authority fees before progressing the agreed change.
- Can you help challenge a penalty?
- Where separately agreed, we can review or help challenge an FPN, Section 74 charge or authority decision at £45 per hour plus VAT. A successful challenge is not guaranteed.
